About Me

I find the most joy working with others to solve perplexing challenges, which led me to a career in one of the most complicated industries – healthcare.

Keeping a strategic focus on the consumer experience, I work with one foot firmly planted in digital technology, and the other rooted in human-centered design. I bridge gaps which often exist across business functions like strategy, marketing, product, sales, servic and data analytics.

Most recently, I was Head of Consumer and Patient Experience, North America at Reputation. As the executive leader for consulting services, my clients included large, complex brands across a variety of industries. I also led a team of subject matter experts was responsible for strategic consulting and data-driven insights to maximize value and drive acquisition for our clients.

Prior to that role, I led a national team and directed enterprise strategy for digital consumer experience at one of the nation’s largest health systems, Ascension. In this position, I launched the company’s first national integrated consumer web platform, bringing together thousands of sites of care and introducing new growth strategies for online consumer access to care.

Previously, I led digital strategies in the pharmaceutical, nutrition, healthcare and education industries. I am a former St. Louis Business Journal “30 Under 30” recipient, a Coro Leadership Program alumna, and a past recipient of Marcom Awards and IABC Quill Awards. I have served on several boards as an elected member or executive advisor. I hold a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s of business administration with an emphasis in data science. My partner, Adam and I left behind a suburban life in St. Louis, Missouri for a small farm where we now grow produce and raise cows.

Cardinal Rules

Take risks.

A colleague once stated: “Annie takes a swan dive into every new situation.” She was accurate.

Avoid perfectionism.

It’s more important to learn from mistakes than to attempt to be perfect all the time.

Trust your gut.

Over my career, I have developed good intuition or what is sometimes described as “emotional intelligence.” I can understand people pretty quickly, thanks to many experiences working for and with a variety of personality types.

Be curious.

The root of a problem isn’t always obvious on the surface. I listen to many points of view, explore alternate possibilities and adapt to change when needed.

Tell the story.

Whether I’m onstage in front of a thousand conference attendees, or running a virtual pitch to a single executive, I tell stories with conviction that drive others to take action.
